09 Process

Post related to Process will go here.
For rough drafts ...
Nike's process management begins with the overarching Nike Standard Seasonal Process.
In the mid-1990s, the standard process was set at 18 months, managed on a weekly cadence of 78 weeks.
Every three months, we completed a season and started another, resulting in six overlapping seasons at any given time. Code was developed to manage the ebbs and flows of work across these different seasons.
The goal was to reduce the seasonal process to 12 months, which would decrease the overlap to four seasons and bring us closer to market.
However, the Standard Process has now been extended to 120 weeks, spanning over two years and involving 13 overlapping seasons. This extended timeline is designed around worst-case scenarios and includes other areas of the business, such as product creation, who need their own processes which intersect with the Standard process at the right times.
Below is an outline of what a 52-week season could look like.

We should start implementing this model now, especially in North America due to Trump's tariffs. Even if the tariffs are reduced soon, this streamlined process is beneficial and should be pursued regardless.
