Sertig (our Future Vision pilot project)

I think I have the year correct. In 1997 we tested the concepts from Future Vision I. An elite product creation team was allowed to focus on one trail running project which evolved into two shoes, the Sertig and the Albis. The shoe pictured above is the Sertig.

Runner's World magazine annually rates the new running shoes from the major brands. They have a category called Editor's Choice and in 1997 there wasn't a shoe that they thought raised to this elite level.

In 1978 the Sertig was the only shoe in two year's that was ranked as Editor's Choice.

For me this proved that if Nike could continuously employ the concepts from Future Vision, we'd have product that consistently ranked at the highest levels.
