"Shark Skin" Bottoms

Test Prototype   Artificial Shark Skin outsoles   No inside shoe markings
As I remember, this was a prototype of an artificial shark skin outsole. I tried them out on an artificial track surface. The idea was to get the needed traction without using the conventional metal spikes.

They were grippy and I remember scraping up my skin if I rubbed my fingers the wrong way on the outsole.  However, I don't think they worked well at faster speeds, especially in the curves.
